KeyLine Bookkeeping Services

This notice covers keylinebookkeeping.com, the website of KeyLine Bookkeeping Services. It says what the site collects when you use it, why, where it is kept, and how to ask for it to be deleted.

What the Message Form Collects

When you send KeyLine a message, the site keeps:

  • your name and your business’s name;
  • your phone number and email address;
  • the kind of business you run and the best time to reach you;
  • your message, if you write one;
  • the sentence you agreed to by sending it, and the time it arrived;
  • if a link or an ad brought you here, the campaign tags in that link and the address of the page you came from.

The site holds that last item in your browser’s session storage, which clears when you close the tab, and sends it only with a message.

Why

So Crystal can call or email you about your message, and so KeyLine can see which links and ads bring people here. Nothing on this site sells your details or passes them to anyone for marketing.

Where It Is Kept, and Who Can See It

Messages are kept in a database run by Neon, in the United States. KeyLine and the person who builds and supports this site for KeyLine can see them.

A copy of each message is emailed to KeyLine’s inbox through Resend, the service our website uses to send email, and Resend also emails you a short note that your message arrived. Resend keeps its copies for 30 days.

Booking a call happens on Google’s booking page, shown on this site. What you enter there goes to Google and to KeyLine’s calendar, under Google’s privacy policy.

How Long It Is Kept

Messages and their lead records are kept so KeyLine can reconnect with you. A lead that doesn’t become a client is archived after a year, and deleted whenever you ask.

Your Internet Address

When you send a message, the site uses your internet address for up to ten minutes to stop floods of messages. It never stores it.

What the Site Counts

The site counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics, and five kinds of action: a click on a Book button, the booking calendar opening, a tap on a phone link, a tap on an email link, and a message sent. Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load.

Vercel says neither ties what it records to a person or to an internet address, and that Web Analytics tells visits apart with a code made from each request, which it discards after 24 hours. Its notices say more: Web Analytics and Speed Insights.
